Commission Review, Drake's Estero The Marine Mammal Commission is conducting a review of the potential effects of human activities, including aquaculture operations, on harbor seals in Drake's Estero, an estuary within the Point Reyes National Seashore, in Marin County, California. Independent reviewers will meet 21–24 February 2010 at Point Reyes to consider relevant information and hear presentations from interested parties. The Marine Mammal Commission is currently seeking applicants for an ecologist (GS-0408, grade 12/13) with an emphasis on energy development as it may affect marine mammal conservation. The position is open to all applicants, both those in the federal service, and those in the private sector, but application procedures differ.
